Dateline: Transfers with C6 seems to take more time than I expected. Am i doing something wrong here? What settings can you tweak? What speed can we expect?
C6 can be weird. Make sure you are using it with a USB2 port (I have plugged it into a USB1 before by mistake). sometimes it goes very slow, but shutting C6 down and restarting it makes the problem go away. Iām on Windows, I suspect it has something to do with the way Windows handles MIDI over USB as I have run into similar issues with other gear.
Iām sure thereāll be plenty to play with and get our heads around until the updatesā¦

Just got the machine and it seems to have a total os/hardware bug in itā¦Or Iām totally idiot with this. So, with only four (1-4) tracks I can change the sound and do parameter locking/auditioning sound (etc) and with all the other ones I just get the āERRORā message when trying to change the sound. Also parameter locking a different sound to trig is impossible as it plays the same sound every timeā¦
I have done the factory reset, changed the project etc, but the ERROR existā¦what a total bummer!!
Hope Iām just misunderstanding something hereā¦
Right so just got mine!
Here are some first impressions after playing around for an hour.

Very nice machine, built in par with the rest.

The quick start guide included is well, quick. There is nothing of interest in there if you have had an A4, just skimmed through but you should be able to figure it all out easily if you had another elektron machine.

The factory patterns are not that interesting (the samples published on the website are far more interesting). I am guessing elektron didnāt have time to spend on these. Most of them do not have performance or scenes, but there are a few that do and serve well to demonstrate what can be done.

Found a few unimportant bugs, things got sorted after a restart.

One thing that took a while to discover (probably a bug):
If you make a new project and want to use the factory samples, you need to load from the global settings/samples at least one sample. Then, while in the sample browser pressing FUNC+YES allows you to browser through the sample pool. If you havenāt loaded one sample, then you canāt seem to browse.
There might be other more proper ways to do this, I guess the manual will come soon
I will be happy to answer questions if I can, canāt be bothered for video, sorry.
Ok, as I thought I was idiot I cannot load different sounds to track 5-12. And the auditioning is not yet implemented.
Tried it for ten minutes and FUKK I loooove it.
So easy to understand.
Will be back soon. Gotta play with this for a while first.

Thanks for the info. Would you mind sharing your impressions of the sounds? How useful/flexible are all the drum synths (for sounds they werenāt intended for)? How do you like the compressor/bit reduction/overdrive?
Wait so only one type of sound for each of tracks 5-12? Iām assuming you can just load whatever sample you want though?
Iām imagining that the cowbell track on my AR will mostly have the cowbell synth turned right down to zero and instead will be playing back a glitch atmosphere sample on most of my songs
can someone take a pic of the display when the trig page is selected?
would be interesting if thereās a lockable option to trig-or-not-to-trig the sample/synth.

It sounds awesome to me! Thereās a lot of things missing but what is there sounds very nice! I found that with whatās there I can do much more than I can with my Vermona DRM1 and I havenāt used the samples yet.
I havenāt yet played with the compressor.
