Nice DB4 thereā¦Iām an owner/user of one for just over three years now and the Matrix made all of my hardware/software ambitions a realityā¦ canāt wait until my AR arrivesā¦purely jealous seeing that glimpseā¦
No no no no no no no no!.. You canāt just leave your RYTM the day you got it!
You should lock yourself up with it, and feed everyoneās lust with sounds and/or vids!
Thatās the Pr0n thread!!! Not the Blue Balls thread!
Please fill us in about the FM and Ringmod kickdrums. How many parameters are there to tweak? What is the sonic range of these kick drums as bass and lead synths?

FM and RING mod kicks are not avaliable in the launch OS. The reason is that they are still being tweaked to make them much better than what they already are. Though there is a lot to discover within the machine till you get to these.
It comes with quite a few samples. Not sure of the number but over 127, around 160 I think. About 100 samples are loaded into the Presets Project.
The samples are transfered through C6 via the USB port to the AR. You do not need to go into a mode on the AR to receive samples, just fire them over C6 and the samples will appear in the INCOMING Folder inside the SAMPLES section in GLOBAL.
Just a bit more patience people, everybody will get their ARs.

Thanks for the update. I like knowing that these engines are being further developed. I see them as the RYTMs main monosynth and want them to be able to get nuts

Thatās the sort of thing (exactly what to expect in the launch OS) you should probably explain in an official thread, it comes as a big surprise considering they got plenty of exposure at Messe.
+1 ā¦ill agree with that! the FM bass drum is one of the main features that made me order the AR, i would like to see an OS spec sheet.
The FM and Ring Mod kicks was one of the biggest drum sounds i was going to run layers with. What are the default kick drum waveforms then?
@subq exactly. This is like ordering a high end vegas escort from the pics then to find out that was the escort 20lbs. ago. Looks like the wait for my AR isnāt that bad at all. Iāll just play with my other toys in the meantime.
Was that all moog bass on the track?
Here I am trying to plug in my AR for the first time. Btw, it didnāt come in a box. Is that normal?
thatās not pirb! we need videos and photos!!!
At the very least weāve seen some strange moves with the ARā¦ The whole colored box thing, then the announcement, then the Q1 release date, then adding of fm bass drum and ring modā¦makes you wonder why they even threw that in there if it wasnāt shipping with it. Personally, I think the better route would have been a release date of summer 2014 and release it when it was ready. I guess we already know a couple things in the next OS release though.
Ha ha ha, made the news of no FM a bit easier to chew.

There were omissions from both the OT and A4 launch OS versions so itās no great surprise as far as Iām concerned.
Elektron make exceptional machines which is what sets them apart from other manufacturers. If they see fit to withhold something for a short time then ultimately this will end up being a good thing for all end users. They have the hardware shipping out now, the rest will come in time when they are happy and probably satisfied with what they are giving out.
Iām not complaining about the omission, Iām just saying that such things should be explained up front, especially since weāre talking about features which were repeatedly promoted in trade show demos and on here on Elektronauts. As you can see, this omission comes as a big surprise to many people - Iām sure everyone thought that was included when they placed an order.
Itās OK to delay a feature until its ready, or even delay the manual. But itās good policy to specify what is or is not included at the time you are accepting orders, otherwise some customers will feel deceived.
Feel the same hereā¦
I am sure most of us who ordered on release would have done so anyway, but yeah itās a downer to not get what you expected.
I am not feeling deceived but do feel somehow disappointed at how this comes as a surprise in the form of a comment in a thread. I sold all equipment I could to get into ARās first batch, itās an expensive piece of equipment and I just expect more from Elektron.
Anyway, the beast arrives today, will post first impressions as soon as I get my hands on it.
Is there an easy way to transfer a sample directly into the current project bypassing the sample pool then?
