We would like to invite Tonverk users to apply to our Overbridge beta, offering multitrack streaming forTonverk.
To join, you’ll need a Tonverk and a compatible Windows computer or Mac. This is a private beta test with limited spots, so we will select participants to cover the areas we need.
great that elektron is working on integrating tonverk into the “daw-world” although i kind of hopped we would get a class compliant non-overbridge version
Great stuff - i personally like Overbridge very much - please make also Analog4 style macros a reality on the Tonverk. (And Q record /record triggers.)
Top work Elektron gogogo ! I also like that you make a public beta. Bitwig did 17 betas before v6 emerged finally - its good to have us on board.
Maybe also include some drum synth engines
I was sure TV would never get OB. I think this might make it the only Elektron box I need. I hope they find a way to let us record all of the insert FX, but I guess it wouldn’t make much sense if you couldn’t record FX, since that’s the core of TV. Fantastic news and really really excited when this will finally release!
Interesting twist and interesting timing. I‘m curious to see how they deal with busses and a ton of FX. If done right, TV will probably benefit more from OB than any other Elektron.
I hoped for that also but there’s one big thing that I think would be sensible/intuitive to have as a part of Overbridge: librarian/editor for .eldrum and .elmulti presets including stuff like loop point detection and inclusion into elmulti. The fact that these things are not able to be managed directly on the device and there’s no Elektron supported editor/librarian is a fairly obvious missing piece for those who expect some official support for the advanced capabilities that the sampler has and Overbridge is a very reasonable place to provide that support.
Tonverk actually had less tracks to stream than the DT2 or DN2. They have 16 stereo audio tracks, 3 stereo fx returns, a/b inputs and the stereo master, so 21 stereo tracks vs. 17 stereo tracks for the 8 tracks 4 busses, 3 returns, master and inputs.
If you click the link it says they first want to test direct streaming. That would be my preference. Just select the tv as soundcard in Ableton and assign tv tracks to tracks in Ableton.
Thank you for your interest in beta testing Overbridge for Tonverk. This initial test will focus on evaluating multitrack streaming without a plugin. We appreciate your commitment to helping us refine our products!
