Last time I saw him, I think at Field Day in London a good few years back, 2017, I didnāt make it through to the end of the set. It was classic out-weirding everyone. Lots of young crowd wearing AFX shirts, completely shocked he wasnāt doing an ambient Spotify playlist set.
I left 20-30mins before end of his set and because of that luckily dodged a massive terrorist attack near London Bridge Underground that night, so thanks Rich, bless. x

It was fucking brilliant.
Not sure what people expected. A greatest hits set, guest appearances from Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus and an encore that included a tear jerking acapella rendition of Milk Man?
Appreciate a set like he plays is not to everyoneās taste but the quote āGirls dress like boys and boys dress like girlsā tells you everything you need to know about that review.
Well, that and the fact that it is in the same right wing cesspit of a rag that employs Toby Young as a contributing editor

Yeah it was brilliant. I was fairly close and the sound was good. Not club-thumping-sub-base good, but it was clear, loud enough (for me) and combined with the visuals and lights it was a trip.
The kind of show you had to immerse yourself into. If you stood on the side or far back, chatting to your mates, or just came for a bit of a dance it probably didnāt work as well.

agreed, it was completely fucking amazing. granted, my partner and i came from the states to see him for the first time, but it was everything we hoped for and then some. think a lot of folks go out of their way to not have a good time

Yeah, it was my first time seeing him live as well, so I was totally up for it.
I was slightly apprehensive that it wonāt live up to expectation, but like you put so well: āeverything I hoped for and then someā.
