Where it says “(re)generate blocks” (in the Target Sound panel)

What does it sound like?

RDJ morphed with a simian entity* nibbling your ears. On ketamine.

Figuratively.

alien and hellish.

I agree with the random bit, which is why I listen to Aphex Twin, as he meticulously programs all his high pitched noisy garbage.

This was a good show, more accessible than some of his stuff, good visuals also.

I watched that video a while back and it seemed pretty good, it’s true.

The Manchester one he did the week after that was banging.

Saw Aphex Twin a couple times at festivals in the 00s or 2010s and it was quite boring and noisy, and left for other more danceable tents. But the gurning strongmen were funny.

In lockdown watched a live set where he played Leisure Techno by AQXDM and it was a great set. Probably the one @Fin25 posted. Worth a watch cos the visuals are also nice.

Intrigued by this brain sampler thing.

is this a “kill your idols” thread?

Think I’ve seen him perform 17 times, always enjoyed it.

It’d be a bit weird if you’d seen him 17 times and still weren’t sure about him though.

To be fair I’ve seen many of my fave acts live and got bored.esp if they’re basically playing identical mixes / arrangement to the released tracks.

Hopefully they get this thing working with M1s soon.

Shit. I thought I was doing well at 6 times.
Never disappointing.
Grandstand theme into Lisbon Acid at ATP and grand piano from the rafters at Barbican were notable events, but Printworks show was for sure the best for cutting some shapes.
Looking forward to giving that mental looking sample mangling nonsense a whirl.

Seen him at Field Day 2017, don’t remember much but the lasers were sick.

Working on M1 Mac now with the latest fix.

Reminds me of, in a nice way, the Ensoniq esp/asr glitch ram shred.
And the mpc 2k ram, glitch, lock up when the samples are ‘spewed’ out and stretched out in a random stream.

Most excellent.

I started by hating it but decided to make a video about it saying it was rubbish, BUT, this is when it clicked !
Very fun for making very weird vocal based glitches.

Video here if you want to join in

Yeah, that’s where I’ve found a lot of fun with this so far.
