Anyone used the Akai MidiMix?

I’m looking for a fader control unit for an Akai Force. Midimix seems cheap and has the bits I think I need. Fairly short-throw faders though.

Anyone use one? Opinions?

I use it as a midi controller for the bluebox. I don’t have any issues with the faders so far, but the knobs are really shitty, because they are much too small. You can replace them though, for example with those:

I second this, knobs are shitty. I had replaced them with Chroma Caps, that was working better.
Still, I would not buy a Midimix, Novation LaunchControl XL is by all means the far better MIDI controller.
It has better knobs and faders, different presets you can program and load up by just pressing two buttons, some visual feedback and probably some other things.
Only pros for the Midimix that I see in your case is that it would stay within the Akai family and the slightly lower price.
