Any way to { shift / translate / rotate / nudge } pattern notes in position?

Hi. I built a great groove but I need to shift the pattern horizontally so that the kick starts on the first slot on the pattern.
All notes are shifted 3 slots.
This is know as “translate” (horizontally)
In software this is easy with drag and drop but I wonder how can I do that on the hardware alone…
Any clues?

FUNC+< or FUNC+> whilst in Grid Edit Mode(solid red rec button) will rotate a track - no way to rotate a pattern sadly ! … except doing each track individually

Omg thank you very much.

Is this documented somewhere? I search on “rotate” in the manual and find nothing. It would be discouraging if this were a hidden functionality because it would imply there are others, so it would be good to know where else things are documented.

It’s in the manual, and has been common to all Elektron machines since MachineDrum.

p.39 in the mk1 manual:

Also p.39 in the MD manual:

• An easy way to experiment with a pattern is to move all the trigged notes of a track forwards or backwards. While in record mode, hold down [FUNCTION] while pressing the [LEFT] or [RIGHT] arrow keys to perform this move. This is espe- cially useful on tracks containing snare drums.

Same page in the mkii manual:
”All trigs of a track can be shifted forwards or backward on the sequencer. While in
GRID RECORDING mode, hold down [FUNC] while pressing the [LEFT] or [RIGHT]
arrow keys to perform the trig shift.”

Thanks everybody. I’ve only just started going through the manual for my new MKII and have never used an MKI or MD.
