Any way to get a trapezoid generator shape from either envelopes or lfo

Hey! I was wondering if anyone has any tips to get a trapezoid shape (ala EMS VCS3 or Synthi) from the either the envelopes or the lfo’s? i guess its like a linear attack, hold for an amount of time and linear decay to zero. would love to get looping trapezoid generators going on my A keys…would love VCS3 but alas, i am a mere mortal.

Cheers,

C

Could be possible with the envelope shape of the “triangle”. It’s linear up and down. The sustain parameter should keep the sound up. But I haven’t checked it, though, because I allways used the other shapes only.

… but will be tricky, because there are no looping envelopes on the A4. You need to retrigger them “manually” with the sequencer.

True, AFAIK the A4 has no looping of envelopes  This is definitely a big difference to the VCS3

but couldn’t the arp be used in conjunction with the envelope shape to approximate loop-able envelopes? hmmm. looking forward to trying to implement this

two lfos carefully phased and assigned to the same destination may get you more variety of shapes

This. Remember to use ONE and/or HLF trigger options for achieving envelope behavior with the LFOs
