Analogue Solutions Thread

I don’t see a general thread for their instruments so I thought I’d start one.

I started with the Leipzig v3 and got obsessed with their patternator sequencer. Got the impulse command which is one of the most unique jammable synths ever! Fusebox X, Ample, Generator, Treadstone, their stuff sounds so damn good!

I can’t imagine I’ll ever lay hands on one of those mega expensive synths they make, but I’m just really into their sound and sequencers.

Just showing some love, anyone else super into them as well?

I only have the Impulse Command which I absolutely love and it has me interested in their other offerings. I’ve been contemplating the Fusebox X but would love some opinions on the new Ample.
It was Limbic Bits video on the Impulse Command that finally swayed me and I really like his Fusebox video too.

Had a Telemark v2, which I regret selling, and I’m also lusting for a Fusebox every now and then.

Just something special with his way of making synths - love that interview where he stated that his oscillator waveforms may not be perfectly shaped in terms of visual alignment but he’s doing it by ear and doesn’t really care how they look in oscilloscope .

Possibly my favourite “vintage” synth sound.

The Ample is like a greatest hits, and the patternator on it is 16 steps and great! It’s really versatile and I love it, but I don’t record music. I just noodle around and jam and it’s so fun for that.

Not sure about using it for songs!

Fwiw on their website I think it says the Fusebox is basically an updated and improved Telemark.

Yeah they look really great. Hope to play with m someday.

Yes, but that Patternator really speaks to me

The patternator is good fun.

A cheaper way to get that is to go for the older non X Fusebox. They go for about £500 2nd hand on ebay. Bought one last year and it’s great value for what you get.

Interesting! I believe there was something else that was part of mk1 that isn’t there in the X - can’t remember what but I remember it felt more sense for me to go for the non-X version.

However, may need to postpone this to 2025 - I will try avoiding new gear 2024 :grimacing:

Oh definitely, I agree. That’s genuinely half the fun of the machines IMO.

„Here’s a little Patternator/Sequencer/Filter fun on the Analogue Solutions Fusebox synth!

In this video, I’ve entered a sequence (16 steps via the keyboard). Simultaneously, I’ve activated (patched in) the Patternator to run in tandem. You can get some very happy results!

3 minutes of tweaking, patching, toggling…

Enjoy!“

I have the Leipzig V3 and it is such a nasty, fun monosynth. It feels like real 50s sci-fi turning the beefy knobs and it sounds incredible.

I have a Nyborg-12 and a Leipzig-S, and they are both great.

I’ve considered selling the Leipzig, not because I don’t like it, but because I bought a Grandmother and I feel like I only need one Moogy ladder filter synth. But it sounds so good and the sequencer makes it a proto-DFAM. But then I also have a DFAM, so even more overlap.

Yeah, when I’m freer monetarily and creative space wise I’ll be back to debate between the Leipzig v3 and an A4 mkii.

A4 is infinitely more flexible but I’d like a super simple and solid bass monster.
