Analog Rytm Sound Pack: Vermona DRM1 MKIII

Hello Elektronauts…

Here’s a new sound pack for the Analog Rytm, based on the Vermona DRM1 MKIII analog drum module. It features 64 original samples, 16 kits with performance scenes, and 32 patterns of various styles.

Bank A contains a wide variety of styles (techno, house, dub, electro, hip-hop, trap, drum and bass, etc.), while Bank B is mostly four to the floor rhythms for the dance floor… ready to rock.

This sound pack combines the metallic analog sizzle of the Vermona DRM1 with the flexibility and features of the Analog Rytm.
Many of the Vermona sounds go into TR-808/909 territory and way beyond without sounding exactly like either one, and make full use of the Analog Rytm’s overdrive, filters, effects, and performance scenes for loads of powerful sonic possibilities.

Using this since it came it and I can vouch that it’s fantastic!

Is there only Vermona samples or synthesis recreations using Analog Rytm’s machines too ?

100% pure original Vermona DRM1 samples!
The sound pack basically transforms the Rytm into a DRM1 on steroids… with onboard FX, sequencing, and kits and patterns. That’s the beauty of the Rytm: it can take the sounds of any drum machine and take them to another level in terms of sonics and flexibility.

If you want to layer Rytm analog machines on top of the samples, that’s an easy option from the Trig menu, but the samples certainly hold their own!

Just got this Pack. It is amazing. Great work, fantastic sounds. Keep up the great work.

I don’t usually buy sample packs but I think I may put in for this tommorrow, I was interested in the DRM back before I got the Rytm.

With these AR packs does it have to be a completely new project, or can the kists somehow be integrated with existing projects?

This pack provides a great snapshot of the DRM1 without having to spend your life tweaking knobs and recording the best sounds on your own.

I went for deep and punchy sounds on this, so the pack is like a bread and butter “best of” version of classic-style analog drums with the unique DRM1 sonic character. Combine that with the Analog Rytm’s capabilities and it’s a solid win.

But, the DRM1 is capable of many weird, dubby, droney, metallic sounds too. If this pack is popular, I may do a sequel at some point… and/or a multi-format Wav. product release this summer to showcase these types of sounds.

Good question. Answer: Yes!
They can be integrated: kits, samples… and patterns too (which reference your loaded kits).

How to do this…
You could create a new project, load the sound packs one by one and then save it as one project. Maybe name it “Various Sound-Packs” or something like that.

Sample management:
I believe all the samples would have to be in the same directory of the project, so there are various ways to get them there. You could create your new directory with your new project, and load the samples from each pack into the same directory.
Or, you if your samples are already on the Rytm +Drive, you could locate them, select them, and “Load samples to Project”

Sysex: Kits / Patterns:
The sysex files contain the kit and pattern information. You will most likely have to copy and paste pattens and kits to different locations so they are not over-written when you load the sysex files from each pack.

Example: Most packs load the 16 demo patterns into Bank A (mine has both A and B ) , so to avoid them overwriting the ones loaded before, you have to move patterns to Banks C, D, E, etc.

Kits may overwrite kits also if they are in the same locations, so it’s probably best to move kits around to avoid them being overwritten.

Note: Although definitely possible, I haven’t actually tried to combine any packs yet… so if any users here know the most efficient ways to do this, please post them and we’ll find the best way…

I would love a sound pack with an emphasis on quirkier choices and really hope that you create one in the future. Also, please tell us what time of year you’re likely to run sales on your sound packs (if you ever do). I’d have checked on Black Friday but didn’t know of your existence until after my AR Mk2 arrived and I found you on these forums.

Hi, is this soundpack still available? Haven’t been able to find it. Thanks!

I really want this pack. Looks like it’s not on the Elastic Membrane website any more. Does anyone know why? Is there anywhere else I can get it?

Maybe this will be a good substitute. Only 5$.
