If anything these prices all teach us patience because I’ve found one or two times a year something will return to its old price for a sale. So one must learn to wait and be content in the meantime.
We have officially hit $2k
pretty sure it was already at $2k at the beginning of the year, maybe on a different site but I definitely saw $2k price somewhere
btw, on elektron.se the mk2 is $1799 at the moment, the mk1 was $1549 at launch in 2014, imo $250 increase over a decade for improved model is very reasonable all things considered…
I guess the retailers price have some added markup but I’m sure the price will be lower on sales
Its too much. Nobody should pay this amount.
Retailers put their prices up this time of year so they can drop them in a few weeks and call it a sale.
Moral of the story, don’t buy shit from big retailers in September/October.
Bundles available it says. Yes if the bundle includes an Analogue four mk2 its a bargain. Probably a quarter inch jack cable.
That gif is doing the rounds lately.
In America prices are dictated by demand, I guess depends on your financial philosophical view if that’s an “issue”. For example a hedge fund can pump demand by buying 100m worth of shares then dump them when price rises.
In Europe are synth prices set by the state?
I can’t figure out if this is an honest question, or trolling of our European friends…
It’s sort of both! I honestly am curious on the perspective, is it because music is an art and public need so these companies are viewed with a sort of altruism to be fair on cost of goods and margin?
Don’t mean to derail the thread though. Just got fired from my tech sales job where we make up prices depending on the client so feelin a bit spicy this morning.
