25 April at Awave in Aus. Things often take awhile to get out to the Antipodes though, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s later.
Hey xplore,
when i contacted you regarding the sale of your other machines you said you were polish and live in UK…
Alarm Bell ringing here for Trolling (best case)
sounds dodgy…
Jealous! Have fun. Post sounds and videos for the rest of us.
Store here in Budapest has it to arrive on May 5th. ![]()
Oh well. Better later than never.
the smell of fish is overwhelming…
I had to look up “dodgy”
Electron is still relatively small which means that delays at the factories that actually make their stuff are not uncommon; a larger manufacturer can easily jump to the front of the line causing all kind of delays.
It is also pretty common to deliver stock to resellers first since this brings in a lot of money quickly without having to do the work of shipping individual units.
Any one pre ordered in the UK? Wondering on the best place.
I’ve been wondering the same. I’ve used DV before and actually emailed them to ask what date they were expecting the first batch to arrive and never heard back. I used Rubabdub fairly recently and their service was great, they also have it down as £1199 which is £50 cheaper than DV.
I’m telling myself May… in no rush but by the time retail spots get it I imagine it might be a while vs ordering direct from Elektron
I hope they do fulfill all pre-orders at retailers on release as well but i’m not holding my breath. It will be that much more enjoyable when the mailman comes knockin’
also JRRshop will hook it up if you’re willing to pay up front, give them a ring. They came through on time for my A4/OT but they’re a smaller store so they might not get their orders filled right away. Might save a few bucks off retail though.
Yeah rubadub a a great gaff with good service… I gathered the cheaper price wasn’t correct… Will see tho. Cheers
I emailed Elektron and asked them this same question.
Their response had about as many answers as this thread:
“Unfortunately we cannot advise on what will be the quickest way for you to get Rytm, we have a huge amount of people signed up to our waiting list as well and between direct customers and retailers we look to ship a lot of units once it’s released.”
Sweetwater said that if I were to preorder with them that I would be on the second batch of machines that they receive and they don’t even have it on their site as a pre-order item yet.
(what ever that means - they wouldn’t say how many they get per shipment)
I’ll be stopping by the local synth store tomorrow and ask them what they know.
I’ll report back if they have anything to add.
Gear4music have always been a great service for me, if you’re unhappy with anything the 1st 14 days they send a corriour to pick it up and will refund no questions asked.
They don’t seem to have an option for pre-order on their site yet tho’.

Replying to yourself as if you are two different people in hopes of creating a post record to aid in scamming people is just wrong.
Sorry if my detector is off. But, alarm bells be a ringing.
Not sure if it true all the time, but usually, units ship to retailers 1st and direct orders second. Got to hook your retailers up.
If a customer is ordering from elektron direct, they have already chosen an elektron box. If a customer goes to a retailer looking for a synth or drum machines, there are many other manufactures they can choose from. Getting your product to retailers first make them look good to some customers. And, thus, the retailer a reason to push your product.
im really hoping for some sort of announcement monday. but maybe thats just me.
Elektron must realize that a lot of people on the waiting list are on there just to know when it’s released, but they already pre-ordered at a retailer like me.
Looks like it’s going to be hot judging by the buzz and interest it generates. They briefly mentioned to me that the shortage of units with the Analog Keys was in part due to the form factor that was sort of new to them, all sorted out now. A lot of new things to take into account. But the Rytm seems to be in a more familiar form factor, even though it’s got some new elements such as the pads. I think they’ll be ready to ship the Rytm in a higher and more steadily growing quantity once it’s released. We just have to sit tight and wait for the team to nail the final bits and bytes.
^ thanks for the info mate, that makes sense!! Are you ordering direct from elektron? Saying that maybe you already have one but are sworn to silence till its released.
