I just tried rubadub who are always straight forward to deal with and I’ve had 3 elektrons from in past, and there gonna let me know but say they haven’t been told more than Q1… I’m wondering if any retailers that are giving dates are simply making em up to get the order.

Well, it’s obviously not happening in Q1 lol.

I do know that retailers were just recently allowed to place their orders. So, it’s somewhat close… but you never know with Elektron, especially considering the fact that nobody has new A4/OT/MD/MnM right now because of some delays. And we all saw what happened w the AK.

I stupidly sold my Tanzbar in anticipation but now I’m realizing it could be a month before release and then 1-2 months of delays after that. I’m hoping that all the delays were due to focus on the AR, therefore it won’t happen. But, idk, so far I’ve not seen Elektron as the most punctual manufacturer.

Announcing Q1 was an easy way to attract and lock purchase intention, now we all salivate and could wait ages for this .

I feel you Dronestar, selling your gear in anticipation (though Tanzbar looks like a keeper to me). Remember an artist is not his instrument so dry your tears and go make music, the waiting will be much more bearable :slight_smile:

I was actually in pre-production of an album, but when I heard about the Rytm, and what it sounds like, I decided right then that the Keys and the Rytm will be my main instruments for the coming album. <3

i get a lot of gear from sweetwater. i have received no call. plus, with “2 weeks away” and there is absolutely NO evidence on the sweetwater website of a analog rytm being for sale anytime soon. i am going to have to call bullshit on this claim. whether it be from you directly or the more unlikely case, a misinformed employee of sweetwater.

This is an Elektron synth forum. Of course a lot of us are excited for the new Elektron drum machine. There are a lot of synth nerds in this forum. Hello, I’m one of them. It’s not a problem. It’s enthusiasm.
If don’t care that much, that’s perfectly fine. But I feel like when I was a kid and first read about Metroid. It was magical.

totally agree - we’re all enthusiasts, synth & drum machine nerds & no-one’s more passionate about gear than me. :wink:

But my response was just to the tone, which I thought was a bit over-the-top…you know…a bit over aggressive when we’re talking about the shipping dates for a drum machine…

But I see an entente has been reached, kissing & making up has been done, so all is cool. :+1:
