Analog Heat + Rytm + TB03

Elektron Analog Heat at the master bus of Octatrack, Rytm and Roland TB03.
Giving tape type saturation to the overall sound.
Really digging this sound…

Nice track  smooth transitions. Beginning reminded me of the Stranger Things ost. <<< guess people making that comparison/ref is like the new ‘sounds very BOC’… I need to broaden my synth music reference bank
Digging the sound of heat on both your recent posts. Just pretty sure I can get this, I actually already do, ITB. But for totally OTB dudes that don’t already have distortion/saturation options already it’s looking like a good addition/purchase and pretty reasonably priced if the other distortion types are up to scratch.

Out of curiosity is the opening synth line/sound on rytm or OT(single cycle waveform?)?

When i heard the virtual demo “Try the Heat online”, i directly see what i will do with this Analog Heat for the subtle addition to the sound, enhancement. The destroyer part, i’m sure for now so i will experiment when i have it but it should be crazy… but probably unusable to me in my music. But for enhancement, tape saturation… Live Master Output > Analog Heat > Gig Soundsystem (yeah i really see what i will get… and it’s nice)

Nice, just make sure you don’t do a ‘Lemonparty’ next!

7 posts were split to a new topic: Analog Heat, tape effects?

Sure you get a lot of jealous eyes at the “orange party” today and this weekend because the TB-03 isnt available yet in Europe same for the heat ofcourse.

Other then that, great vid! Sounds awesome!

Orange party is actually next level of it.

Not so interested in heat just now mainly due to learning other elektron boxes first but you have sold me on a tb-03.

Please note that I really like the groove Dataline got going here, but am I the only one who feels that the amount of compression when the kick hits is way over the top?

And maybe I’m being too sensitive, but this also doesn’t really sound like tape saturation to me; it sounds more like what you get when you’re almost driving a bass or guitar amp into distortion.

I’m also hearing some nasty clipping at the beginning around 0:16 and 0:36 and for example around 2:53 that made me check the levels going into my mixer while playing this back, but I guess that’s what can be expected when tweaking things live.
