Analog Heat mk2 hangs - needs restart

so i’m using the mk2 (connected via usb) as plugin on a drum track in ableton live.
im playing around with the filter, eq and lfo - changing waves & speed…
but after about 10mins the AH starts hanging and keeps playing a very short sample loop of the latest sound. no reactions to any knob changes anymore.
the only thing i can do is to switch power on and off.

anybody else experiencing this? really annoying…

have had this issues several times - have done a factory reset - you will probably loose your presets

which firmware you are using?

from the manual: page 29: Empty Reset or Factory Reset:

thanks. did the factory reset help with this problem?
i really need my presets :frowning:
Isn’t there a way to backup the presets somehow??

AH is running with firmware 1.11. BETA3

in my case it helped but not using beta Firmware anymore
in the manual (everyone should have a look into iz) no way for backup
so write down the values from your presets
(factory presets won’t be affected)

which firmware do you use?

latest stable:
Analog Heat MKII OS 1.10

Just wondering, is it not possible to midi dump presets from ah?

since I was not able to find the sysex dump within the manual I am also wondering.
thought it should be possible - have to check when I am at home in front of the device

it also depends how you are going to use the AH - I am only using 3 different presets - pretty simple also to remember ^^

that would be helpful

So it is not possible? Don’t have ah…

There is no sysex dump possibility for the presets of the AH (I wonder why?).

But I think you can utilize Overbridge’s total recall functionality for some kind of backup.

From the manual:

Always find your device preset parameters in the same state as you left them when you return to your DAW project, with the useful total recall functionality.

good point! i saved a preset in the AH vst in ableton, then deleted it on the AH -> reopen the project in ableton and the preset was still there. then i can resave it on the AH.
that means you could actually backup every preset in an ableton file!
