I’m using ableton on a mac, and want to monitor my hardware setup though ableton with the AH effect and record like that. I can get the effected audio in to ableton through usb but the signal is very faint and not sure how to increase the volume coming into ableton. Is there a way to control that?

You can use it as an interface in the same way as the Digitakt etc.
Gainstaging beforehand or in the AH really, Elektron seems to be a bit conservative with the volume levels of OB to leave space for louder material. The volume of those direct channels are lower than as if I had the analog outs going into my interface pre.
can you do that directly on the hardware or would i need to use the plugin? twisting the volume knob doesnt do anything and was getting the same result on the plugin.
Yeah the volume knob is analog and tied to the analog out, similar behavior with the other Overbridge devices. You can change the volume level per preset I believe.
If you need to perform the change in volume you could likely map to another encoder.
