Analog Heat FX + Strymon Pedals = Overkill?

Hey Everyone,

I would love to hear your opinion on my set up as I am very confused and I have no idea what to do really.

I got Anlog Heat + FX a couple days ago and still can’t decide how I want to run it. My previous workflow is basically a few hardwares like Octatrack, OP 1, Prophet REV2, DSI Tempest, RC505, TC Helicon with vocals and 3 Strymon Pedals; Volante, Deco, and Big Sky.

All is connected to DAW and I have Strymon pedals set up as an effect in Ableton, so I could send any of above devices into it and back to audio interface.

Now, I don’t think it makes a lot of sense to put AH at the end of that chain, mainly becase of Deco.

I also don’t have any spare INs to repeat what I did for the Strymon pedals. I guess I could just put some of Strymon pedals right after devices befofe they hit audio interface but that’s limiation as I can only use pedal per one instrument.

I was trying to use Overbridge as it seems my problem would be solved but I don’t think I got it, it glitches a lot and I can apply only one instance of effect. Is that right? Or can I add multiple AH on multiple channels in DAW?

Anyway, that’s what I am dealing with. If you have any ideas I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Just put the stuff on a bus and apply AH to it.

Indeed.

An alternative could be a patch bay, always useful when you have plenty of gear and need to reroute stuff quickly

Experiment and decide while listening if it perhaps does make sense. The ah fx part is a bonus. Both can blend between dry/wet so put them in series to begin with. Also the Ah/fx has plenty of options to connect before the inputs of the OT (for sample enhancement) or on the outputs of the OT or Tempest.

Thank you everyone, I didn’t actually think about the patchbay, it might be a solution for me.

Exactly, experimenting with it is the key I guess, I probably overthink it. And just got it, so need to spend some time with it but oh my, AH is just pure fire. Crazy that I didn’t decide to get that earlier.

Another idea I just got is probably just to extend my interface and get more inputs and outputs, that’s ideal scenario.
