Having a lot of trouble with this unit as of recent.
Really struggling to get levels consistent and sorted. As the title suggests, the box will output my -7 premaster to around -25-30 but the output on the heat will be displaying “!!”.
Anyone able to talk me through setting this up correctly?
This is a well documented issue; you can see reports of it in most of the recent threads on here.
It is technically “by design”, and is present in all the Analog Heats: The incoming signal is extremely attenuated in order to provide headroom to the effects. I suspect that more people are putting the +FX end of chain than previous mk’s – running full mixes, and pushing the onboard compressor – so this gain staging travesty is really obvious now to everyone.
