Analog Heat +FX: How can MIDI and audio be routed?

A few short routing questions about using USB Audio+MIDI (no Overbridge). Would love help or insight with any or all of them.

  1. With an iPad connected to the AH +FX over USB MIDI, is it possible to route MIDI from an iOS app to the AH +FX’s DIN MIDI out port (using e.g. Aum to set up the routing)? Or hook up a MIDI keyboard to the DIN input port and play iOS synths? In other words, can the AH +FX function as a DIN MIDI interface for an iPad when hooked up over USB?

  2. Does one of the USB audio routing settings allow for recording/monitoring what’s coming in the inputs with the AH effects, but with the DAW signal (e.g. from Aum or Loopy Pro) not going through the effects? Can I record into Loopy with the effects but not have any effects on Loopy’s main output mix?

  3. Using an iPad, is there a way to send a softsynth/AUv3 instrument through the FX, but not have effects on the main USB DAW output signal? e.g. can I send a single USB softsynth through the AH effects chain without having effects on the master out?

I feel like the first two scenarios might be possible but not the third, would love to know for sure - any help appreciated.
