Analog Heat : Drum synthesis and sequencing

Please do it.
You talked about AH having its own pseudo sequencer…

There yo go! Nothing but AH. No controlling/sequencing from outside. Single take, one file.

Interesting. How do you do your “accents”?
Moving knobs or Trigger Threshold?

Im not sure, im just turning the knobs, almost all of them, but not the threashold one, nor attack and release.

Hey! AH is becoming my fav synthesis module :joy: So may possibilities!
Interestingly, AH opened my appetite for analog synthesis use and abuse.
Anyone knows any small analog module that i could abuse in similar ways? How good are Vermona Lancet, Doepfer DE or small Moog modules for happy abusings?

this is highly interesting, can you go a little into details about your workflow or do you even have a video of some of the steps you are doing @sezare56?

congratulations!

edit: of course the sound posted by @Castor is also pretty intense! would be great to hear about your workflow, too!

No enough time for the moment, but basically

OT midi OUT (Control Changes + Clock) > AH
AH midi THRU > A4
A4 CV out (S-Trig 3V) > AH Control IN (Footswitch mode, ENV TRIG destination)

Control Changes used :

Looks fun, sounds great, and not going to break the bank.

Today i experimented with the self oscillation of the AH mk2 and it really got BUCHLA!

  1. take a midi cable
  2. plug it in your daw
  3. check the midi implementation chart of the AH
  4. Start sending Envellopes to the right elements!
  5. The Low Frequency Oscillator is really insane.

Ill post A.s.a.p. some sound samples.

first attempts, but i think this can get much more refined and playable.

The last one sounds like R2D2 on low batteries!

i believe the real R2D2 is made on a ARP 2600, so pretty good of old Heaty.

This is great. Is this just the filter’s resonance generating the sounds or is there a feedback loop “no input mixer” type thing going on?

Hi, this is just the filter and LFO, i sent envelope messages from my daw to the heat by midi.(midi note data does not work) But you can also add cv a and b Lots of fun! It get’s better the more you practice!

It all comes down to routing generative/movement to corresponding cc in your HEAT. Volume up and down like a cv controlled vca. Modulation to your filter freq or speed of LFO. Etc. Etc… Lots of fun

So many possibilities. Thanks.

Would be Nice if other people share there experiments with the heat! Ill know i am not done yet… i think this can get quite deep.

Ill share some upcoming experiments!
