i’ve seen some posts here and there but nothing that seems authoritative. i want to run line level outs from a ua apollo into a stereo effects chain and back into the interface, which requires a reamp device. from what i know of the heat, it excels at this sort of work, and can attenuate input as needed.
is anyone doing this with good results?
I setup exactly this chain. If you want to reamp just through the Heat and back to the Apollo then you should be fine. If you want to continue through a chain of guitar pedals you’ll née me a Radial stereo Reamp box because of impedance differences. Without it you’ll experience quite a lot of unintended tone coloration and phasing. But it’s an awesome and really fun chain when setup.
My chain: Apollo -> Heat -> Radial Reamp loop -> Stereo guitar pedals -> Apollo

Also a fun tip is that if you use the Apollo Twin, the stereo outs are actually sent via a Cue in console. This means you can route anything in your studio to this pedal chain without the need for a patch bay. UAD has documentation on this method, which I believe only applies to the Twin: Ihttps://help.uaudio.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002813886-How-Do-I-Send-Signal-from-My-DAW-to-the-Line-3-4-Outputs-on-My-Apollo-Thunderbolt-Desktop-
