Thanks a lot for another perspective!
When I started this thread I had in mind to have it as something like a hybrid of an ongoing challenge to showcase anything and get the most out of A4. One of my main drivers was to get rid of redundancy and I imagined it to evolve gradually from aspect to aspect and leave room for any crazy idea that might come up over time. I know I didn’t do a great job setting this up, and I feel sorry for that.
Now: As much as I would love to see a whole series of A4 challenges, I am not entirely convinced there’s enough attention to keep it going. And my own time I spend in here right now is too limited to be able to run it.
[While Science Lab was originally set up for Elektron themselves to host challenges it was suggested by @LyingDalai to move to Mission Briefs – which is considered the more appropriate place]
Makes sense. In that case, I’m in favor of moving this to Mission Briefs (to stop from stepping on official Elektron toes) and keep it loose and flowing from aspect to aspect, like you say. If we continue to have a steady stream of contributions in a month or two, maybe that will be our sign that more specific challenges can be supported?
But to be clear, I’m really enjoying this thread and wouldn’t change anything about it (other than the category, at the discretion of the mods).
Sorry for the cross-post, but I just realized this fit the brief pretty well. Two 303-like tracks on the A4 with macros assigned to their 303-ish parameters (cutoff, resonance, filter env amount, etc) to make it easy to tweak them in real time:
Never bothered using the config setting other than for getting chords. Until tonight. Played around with voice allocation and reset/unison settings in poly config. What a blast! TV on fx-duties. Just a simple arp on one track and poly config did the rest.
