Analog four Mk1 USB

Just bought a Mk1 A4.

USB does not register in ableton or computer for that matter. Tried restarting both units and still nothing.

Tried both input and output settings in the port config to just USB and or USB/MIDI and still nothing.

Not needing it for anything other than sync but its pretty frustrating, may be user error but from all my other elektron devices they register with USB instantly.

Also tried a different cable, nothing.

Do you have Overbridge installed?

I believe for the mk1 you need to have Overbridge installed for it to show up as a USB device. Only the mk2 has a class compliant mode. You don’t actually need to use the Overbridge plugin or standalone, but installing it will install the driver.

Ah, amazing. Will try that out. Thanks mate!

Still nothing after installing overbridge. The overbridge control panel registers my A4. Ableton doesn’t.

I seem to have an elektron plugin in DAW but its overbridge for syntakt?

So re-downloaded overbridge. Got the a4 plgin in my DAW.

Would not register my device as an A4 but there was a message down the bottom saying something along the lines of ‘this device needs OS updated’

So went onto elektrons website, downloaded transfer app and tried to select midi ports but nothing is showing up…

Do you think the USB port is broken? Should I send the unit back?

USB mode…… :crazy_face::man_facepalming:
