When you lower completely the Reverb volume, does the reverb sound disappear?

Yes in the FX track if I lower reverb volume it dissapears - and changes in reverb settings affect the reverb that I’m hearing.

And Chorus / Delay send working as expected

If I loud another sound into the track it also works as expected

You mean… You’ve just discovered you have 2 LFO pages?
Are you aware you have an extra ENV page as well?

After a long hiatus (in fact several years) I’ve started using my Analog Four MkII again, realizing what a wonderful instrument it is…but here’s one thing I am not sure if it is a bug or if I am doing something wrong.

I have connected an Arturia Keystep37 to the MIDI In of my A4mkII. The Keystep sends on the A4’s AUTO CHANNEL, so that I can use the A4’s TRACK keys to select which A4 track I can play via the Keystep. I use the FX and CV tracks to sequence two external MIDI synthesizers (Intellijel Cascadia and Korg ARP2600 M) an. I can play these via the Keystep as well if I select the FX or CV track.

So far so good, but: I can only get this “MIDI Thru behavior” to work for MIDI Note events. If I send MIDI Control events from the Keystep (e.g. Portamento Time CC#65), these are not routed to the Cascadia or KARP.

Please, can anybody try to reproduce this (or let me know where I went wrong)? Thanks much in advance!

I am pretty certain that you cannot hear anything you are playing via midi unless it is recorded in the sequencer. At least on my AK.

For MIDI notes it works just fine on my A4mkII – but not for MIDI controller data. The workaround would be to use my Conductive Labs MRCC to…

• route the Keystep’s MIDI out data to the A4, the Cascadia and the KARP
• filter out everything but the MIDI Note data for the A4
• filter out everything but the MIDI Controller data for the Cascadia and the KARP

…but that does feel a but heavy-handed, no?

I think that you’re right (though I hope that you’re wrong). Last night I tried to use the A4 to play another instrument via midi, with no luck. It worked only when sequenced. As it stands, unless I’m missing something, the A4 is not exactly a midi “controller.” Much better as a CV controller.

I know that I’ve done this before, via both DIN midi outs and Overbridge. Check your midi settings.

I’ve found an annoying bug when using A4MK2 FX and CV tracks MIDI out.
I have connected to my A4MK2 a MIDI keyboard, I’m sending MIDI to the A4 FX channel and it does not trigger anything. I’ve tried using USB but still not working. The internal A4 keyboard works.
Tracks 1 to 4 receive the MIDI correctly and so is triggered external gear when they are used as midi channel. For now I’m using A4 channel 4 to receive and send MIDI to external gear but it would be much better not to lose a track just to sequence external gear…

A4 Feature Requests

It’s a bug and not a feature request, but receiving midi CC64 (performance F knob) will only change the value when it reach 64 (half the knob). And then it won’t go lower, it can only go higher. Tried different MIDI controller, different channel and many things but it this bug still occur. I’m running latest OS

And it would be very cool to have the ARP midi out… I’ve read it works with CV, why not with MIDI, is this a bug ?

I hope an update is coming because it’s been more than 2 years… I’m using 1.51C

EDIT: I’ve just read Wolfgangschaltung comment. I can receive MIDI with the auto channel for track FX and CV. It’s another workaround.

I’m going to call this a bug

AK sends Pitch Wheel 1 -8192 when it’s started up, so any synth downstream will be out of tune if it’s turned on before the AK

I’ve already reported this in another post, but I’m adding it here so it goes into the list of reported bugs.
When sending notes to MIDI USB OUT with any track (including FX/CV), if the tempo drops below 50 bpm, the notes aren’t sent correctly, either from the sequencer or the internal keyboard.
Above 49 bpm, everything works normally.
To test, simply create a sequence with all 16 trigs activated and send it to an external device then setting the bpm between 31 and 49. Some notes drop.
As a workaround, double the bpm and divide the Page speed.
I’ve already reported this to Elektron.

There is a confirmed bug on the Analog Rytm MK2 that when using a scale setting other than 1x, direct jump does not line up correctly. I’m curious if this issue also exists on the A4. Can anyone with an A4 who absolutely understands how direct jump is supposed to work (especially in a polymetric context) please confirm if this is or is not an issue?

The current track I’m working on is seriously affected by this

It has not been addressed on the AR and sadly this bug was also ported over to the Tonverk, which I did report but didn’t receive a reply which is unusual for Elektron who have always been at least responsive to issues I’ve reported, so I think I may report it again as perhaps the submission got lost or never made it through.

I’m unsure about the A4 but I assume it hasn’t been addressed.

Although I’m sorry you’re also bit by this, I am relieved that I’m not alone. Please submit a ticket if you haven’t! The more people who submit issues likely increases the chances of them being prioritized! Or one can hope.
