Alternative for a DJ mixer

Hi everyone, the other evening I had the opportunity to DJ with a friend’s system: two XDJ 700 and an A&H Xone 92. I hadn’t played in years and at the time I was using a terrible Gemini console “all in one” which I have always hated.
Not a big fan of the 700 I must say, cheap feeling, the wheel not too responsive and the menus/touch screens having only used them for a few hours were not appreciated.
The mixer is a completely different matter, as sturdy as a brick and with a nice EQ and VCF sound and it is precisely here that I ask for your opinion.

Can you recommend a two-channel alternative with these qualities? Three-band EQs would be appreciated (I wasn’t able to take advantage of the 4 of the 92) and filters on both channels (at least hi and low pass). I also wouldn’t mind having an insert for external effects but I can do without it.
Thanks in advance and if you have other ideas, suggestions or pages to consult on the topic are always welcome

Any budget?

Don’t know yet, cheaper than the 92 would be nice

Have you searched for controllers using a Software like Traktor? Or you don’t want to deal with a computer?

Xone 23C ? Seems too obvious so apologies if I’m missing something here.

These do not match 100% OP’s specs (no LP on each channel). but because these are damn good (looking/sounding) mixers (I have the Radius MK1) they at least deserve a bit attention :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Good shout, I misread the OP. MasterSound are very nice, been eyeballing the Radius line for a while now.

The Xone 32 has a VCF per channel and built like a tank. Could be hard to find one though but if you do it’ll probably be quite cheap. 3 band EQ also.

Check out ranes 2 channel mixers. Most of them have a 3 band eq, hp/lp filter on each channel and fx inserts(some have on board fx too)

Looks great but I think the most important thing I learn last time is that I need to keep it simple, that’s why I’m looking for an alternative to the 92. Djing is not my main thing, so the time I have to deepen and refine my techniques I use on the modular, I was looking for a very simple mixer to keep on a secondary table for those times I want to listen to tracks and mix

This seems very interesting together with the ecler, I can use the two main channels for the decks and keep the third for the modular since I get out of there in stereo. Thanks everyone for the advice
