This is on sale again right now
Everything they’ve ever done.
59 USD.
That must be a fuck ton of samples. Id worry id get lost in there…
But that price is insane.
60GB.
But most of it appears to be instriments for live, logic , kontakt etc. Which I wont ever use… still, cant have enough drum samples.
They also include an “Essentials” zip in the All the Samples bundle, which is 1 GB and a solid taster to find out which packs you actually want to spend harddrive space on
i would have to go buy an external HD…
a fear of having to unzip the entire thing to be able to use it is riding around in my brain.
Sorry, my last post was a little misleading. If you get the All the Samples bundle, they’ll send you a download page and you can download the bundles individually. So you don’t have to download the full 60 GB at once
Really a great sample pack. To be honest I only use the essentials, that’s enough, but they have a great selection of sounds ranging from clean to processed
Great samples. I got the pack a few years ago. Truly everything you need. Good guys. Get it while its hot.
They also have folders with just wav files. Individual hits and kits. Super simple to use on elektron stuff.
I made a ton of sample chains out of their drum samples and they sound top. These occupy the last 2 banks on my Digitakt template for the old kits trick. This Makes working on the DT so immediate while not taking up too many sample slots,
Some of the chains are the usual 909, 808 kits etc, while others are 32 vinyl snares for example. Using the latest slice firmware you can flick through the one shots so quickly, massive game changer for me. Turned my DT into the worlds best drum machine overnight
Anyway, I can’t recommend Samples from Mars enough for your drum samples.
Just bought it!
Already had the 2323 sound pack(32€) with the 606, 808 & 909 samples, but for the price and the quality and amount of samples of this offer, it was hard resist.
Thanks for the tip @Microtribe!
I bought the own everything in 2017. Might have to update it as I got a lot of value from it
Have ‘enough’ of their (excellent!) stuff, however, the recent ‘vinyl’ series really appeals: love the lengths they’ve went to with these
I bought this on sale a few years ago. I kinda wish there were more single hits, like the Legowelt sounds packs, but it’s great stuff. They’ve also got some loops (Tape Loops from Mars?) that were pretty fun to play with
The great thing about SFM are the terms of service, the pricing and the quality of the samples. Other “royalty-free” sample collections are more bare-bone and often not totally royalty-free in the fine print.
It’s funny, I think Legowelt with his free/donation page of samples may actually be one of if not the only true rival to SFM although I know he certainly wouldn’t consider himself so.
FYI: download counts are reset if you bought a prior bundle and upgrade. This is a relief since I had to restart a few downloads the first time. I’ve been reluctant to download to the new machine out of fear of losing the samples entirely. Now everything is back to 3 downloads so it’s time to download a few billion files.
They sampled the Pulsar-23!
There’s an intro price that lasts two weeks.
Black Friday deals just started up again, everything for 49
there’s currently a summer sale going on. In the “All the samples from Mars bundle” there is this content: “Includes 1 GB file that has only the Essential WAV in a simplified format”. Is this zip basically the same as the “ESSENTIAL WAV FROM MARS | Samples From Mars” ?
