Akai rhythm wolf
Since when were wolves renowned for their rhythm?

sawtooth wave perhaps. howling filter maybe, but a swinging wolf?

I say old chap, steady on!!!
:sob:

man thats insulting to an mpc ;]
Not really, I love mine. But this is so cheap I might get one to compliment my 1000 for just bass and FX samples

With all this new analog that seems really simple sonically, you’ll have people buying them in droves and then selling them 12 months later.

Analog doesn’t equal good or interesting. It’s all marketing now.

Ein Anal OG drum computer hahah

Hmm… It sounds like a wolf?? It sounds more like anal… og

NO audio demo here… :frowning:
The wait continues…

Looking at the picture of it, can anybody see a way to slide between notes? It would be a shame if they’ve missed that out.

bass with no slide? fail

bad enough the volca bass doesn’t have accent

the akai representative says:

“…dope thing about the sequencer is: you can program glides for the bass synthesizer…”

glides are slides, aren’t they?

I love how separate outs in Akai talk equates to 1 mono out for all drums + 1 mono out for the bass part

lol what is up with embedding? that video was inserted 10 times if i entered text.

anyway, the above is an analog drum machine. it was fun for a week.

i’m waiting to see the guts for hacking. if it has individual trigger ins for each sound it could be fun too.

also, i wonder if it’s a rebranding of someone else’s like they did with their analog delay pedal

right…gotta love marketing

dude! I had that mattel synsonic drum machine back in the day!

 I have to hear it first… but it looks like my drum machine search is OVER

thank you akai pro!

This really looks like a bargain even just as a pad based midi sequencer. It’s certainly no elektron box but at those prices I think I’ll be picking one up. Still want to hear it first.

In the video the guy mentions that glides can be programmed in the sequencer (at around 0:57)

With only a mono out for the drum kit, if I buy this I will probably just sample it and return it to Guitar Center in a day. Individual sounds over USB tho, and it would be a keeper.

^ imagine everybody did that :S

Seriously tho the sounds ain’t gonna be anything new, so if the hardware doesn’t speak to you, just leave it at guitar centre.

AWWWE, dey broke da only Rhythm Wolfs. :sob:

LOL!

oh hell yes- individual out mods look like they will be easy!
