AKAI Force

That would be because I am very certain.

In Main Mode the left column of icons feel really out of place. Would have loved to see the Main Mode take up the whole width of the screen.

That would be nice to make optional, but I like that there’s 5 custom icons that make it faster to go to it’s menu window w/o using the slide out menu first.

Yeah I live by those 5 icons on my force and MPC

If proven wrong, you must finish 1 unfinished song from every Force thread participant. Deal?

I agree. Although I think a well design interface should not need a menu like that. This should have been available though hardware buttons (some of them are). I’m using the Force since it came out and it has always been an issue for me, the fact that muscle memory interaction was always sub optimal (could be me). Too many SHIFT options, too many weird button combo’s combined with endless software button options. The overall user interface is just all over the place. Time for a small team to come up with a rock solid re-evaluation of soft- and hardware integration. This convolutes more and more the coming years.

Deal. I will also throw in a bonus 2-finger grammy for every song I finish from every Force thread participant.

grammy

Can anyone explain to me how the MPC Sequences work on the Force? is it only possible to ā€œrecordā€ the Clips that will be included in a Sequence by triggering them when recording a Sequence?

Or are Sequences their own thing apart from Clips?

It seems that Sequences are multiple Arrangements, completely separated from Clips like the Arrangement view was before

Has anyone succeeded in using the new free Multiband Filterbank plugin standalone on the Force?

I got the plug activated in the Software Manager on the Mac, but if I then turn on the Force, go to ACTIVATE PLUGINS and then REFRESH, I don’t see the Filterbank on my plugin list—so no way to activate it on the device.

Is this plug a giveaway to use only on a computer? What am I missing here?

Can’t find a manual/instruction sheet so far for this plug on the site, although I assume it’s there somewhere because the MPC-compatible plugs typically have documentation.

Yes it is working on my Force and shows up on my activations list as well.

Assuming you’ve activated your license, log out of your InMusic account on your Force, restart your Force (from a complete off state), then once you reboot - log back into your InMusic account. Hit ā€œrefreshā€. It should show up. Download and activate, and enjoy.

Thanks folks! @Suspect_Frequency @HisNameIsAlive

@HisNameIsAlive I think my mistake is not having logged out and then in on the Force. Makes sense that leaving out that step would defeat adding the new plugin on the machine.

I will investigate.

It worked for me.
