AH MK2 has been retired?

AH MK2 has been removed from official website of elektron. does this mean AH FX+ has totally replace the older model?

Because it’s quite a bit more expensive

Edit: apparently not!

Not “quite a bit more”

Last I checked, the mk2 was like 900/950 new on their site

I think this was conveyed officially at some point, once the last items were sold there would be no more stock produced and it would merely fade away … there is no reason to mourn or mark its passing … its retiral was pre-announced afaicr

Perfect Circuit has AH mk2 priced at 899 and AHFX at 999 USD. a decent chunk more, for sure. but when you’ve already stretched to 900 to buy a distortion/filter box, what’s 100 more to get a bunch of effects too?

Have to make room for the AH MK3

And more modulation options.

But sure, I’ll grant that comparing the prices from Mk2 to +FX seems like a lot.

But comparing +FX to mk2 feels more like throwing your money away.

“Can I afford NOT to spend the extra hundo?”
