I’ve been trying to use my AF with Ableton Live, recording separate tracks into LIVE one by one and tweaking them while recording.
Then I introduced chains in order to not have to worry about changing patterns when recording longer passages.
But when I click to start recording in LIVE, the AF does not necessarily start from the first pattern in the chain, no sir.
It starts from the pattern that happens to be on the chain step # corresponding to the target audio track # in LIVE. To make the AF start from the first step in the chain, I must move the target audio track to the far left in LIVE’s session view.
How does that make sense?
