Same principle as Rytm’s side chain eq compressor in HPF mode.

From the manual:

SEQ (Sidechain EQ) filters the signal before it is analyzed by the compressor in one of the following ways:

• HPF passes the signal through a highpass filter before it is analyzed, making the compressor react less to the bass. Use this setting to avoid pumping.

Yeah i understand the function but i mean: when do you kick THE HPF in with the Pedal. During the whole set if the bass is present? And deactivate it when the BD for example is muted?
Sorry for these dumb questions…

… that might not be a RNC which costs 10 000 gold and has a EQ in there somewhere?

There is no key input.
There are a couple types of side chains.
It’s an fx loop side chain filter, not a key.
Just like Rytm’s compressor.

You just have to mix a certain way before hitting the compressor.
And get the most from the side chain filter loop.

My super high end recording interface, with premium next generation A/D converters.
