I found this cool sample pack from Boiler Room.
Crate digging, both physical and digital are meditative experiences, but sometimes it’s nice to be lazy and plop in a sample pack full of premade loops.
I like that the sample pack above was a collaborative effort , and I really like that most of the samples are acoustic (or sound convincingly acoustic), and I really really like that it was free. Does anyone know of any other free-ish sample packs like this one? Of course, always pay your creators if you can.
In my collection I have enough funk guitar/finger bass/jazzy rhodes/funky acoustic beats for one lifetime, so I’ve been on the hunt for any instrumentation outside of that.

Pianobook has tons of free (frequently user-submitted) sample packs and Kontakt instruments. No loops, but a lot of variety, from accordions and violins to breadboard synths and found sounds

No way, thanks!
Plus you reminded me about the Philarmonia samples!

I remind that Hugo Kant has some nice samples he uses for his shows.
All is free but a drum kit wonder (10€) which contains all the variations of velocities played by a pro drummer.
I like his drum tracks and they are really convincing. It is a Kontakt library though so i can’t use it and vouch for it but for that price it is more than affordable IMO.
You can check https://www.decentsamples.com Sample Pack - The Kount
There are many other where i got packs along the years but can’t find the link though.

These are great, thanks!
This actually gave me an idea on the DT that I’m definitely going to try.
Since there are a bunch of variations on the velocity of the individual sounds, you could write a melody and randomly modulate between sample slots to give it a lot of human-ish variation.
Cheers!
