I’ve put together a band with a couple of others whose children died in the same circumstances.
I asked a simple question which was technical rather than musical. So someone ‘being right’ and telling me to change the aim of the music, clearly stated in my post, then coming back to tell me they were right after all (when they were at best obtuse and actually unhelpful to the task at hand), then you jumping in to ‘rescue’ I’m afraid is a bit bizarre. I would have thought ‘please leave me alone’ was reasonable.
I know it doesn’t mean much to hear it from some rando on the internet but I’m very sorry for your loss and hope you didn’t perceive my previous attempts to help get you sorted as being condescended to. I was just trying to help out.
I’m sorry for pissing you off, but your initial response was fairly snarky. I simply suggested a quick workaround for solving your problem (which is one that a lot of producers run into, myself included, and my suggestion is a good, quick, and straightforward fix that worked for me).
My second comment, which was tongue in cheek, stems from the fact that you managed to solve this problem much more quickly than you thought. Again, I’m sorry if this annoyed you. You say you were asking for help, my suggestion was an attempt to help you. Please feel free to ignore it.
