Old presets do in fact work. Confirmed by someone doing a demo today.

Doesnât sound like it to me. More like a GUI upgrade. Glad it didnât end up discontinued. One of my fav synths.
Yeah. Certainly wouldnât have minded an upgrade though!

I think its a really good update, new browser/morph is very good, the GUI is clear and easy to use and the new filter/fx sound good to me- great job NI and a generous demo as well (that will tide me over until I upgrade Komplete!)
NI have taken a lot of stick over the last few year, this and KK 3 hardware updates (native control in Live etc) makes me thin k they are really back on their game nowâŚI look forward to seeing what NI do in 2026.
Yeah I forgot about this. It saves all your mutation states, so you can always go back to a previous version of a sound. Pretty slick

Quite the indicator of NI being asleep at the wheel that it took them until December 2025 to realise this.
The Komplete package is verging on spam overload with a billion âexpansionsâ of naff samples.
They have some killer apps in their stable, like Reaktor - yet the tasteless management are more focused on a money model than a passion for production and innovation.
Nothing screams more loudly than a firm that has lost its essence than annual âyou canât believe how much is includedâ promos and a billion gig download of pfaff.
Bring back the NI of 25 years ago. An exciting, groundbreaking outfit of creators and rich community of pioneers.
They are the IBM of exciting music production and creativity.

thatâs a shame - I remember my days of wonderment at the half the age I am now with various Reaktor ensembles and mindblowing genius of ensemble builders. Let alone many of the patches were the funkiest grooves ever.
Maybe they just got too big.

OMG, this is the synth release of the year for me! I also believe this is ground-breaking for NI as if Iâm not mistaken, this is their first MPE & Polyphonic Aftertouch capable synth (that doesnât require flow-killing configuration/changes).
Having just picked up my first MPE controller to make up for Maschineâs lack of MPE/polyphonic aftertouch, what I hope that means is that MPE is coming to other synths like Massive X!

Had a NI voucher so got it for 67 Scottish pounds! When I first got it way back in Komplete 7 I used it as a FX plugin a lot, some really nice and weird fx in it. Looking forward to getting to know it again.
