When I look at my analog heat on the screen without any input, it always shows a background noise. Is this normal?
If you are driving or distorting any kind of signal you are likely to see/hear noise unless you have a noise gate in place.
I should add, if you turn the drive and any gain based effects down and still hear noise in any massively audible way you may have an issue. But it totally depends on the circuit. In that kind of situation with my old analog heat it was usually silent. But once I got going, with no signal going in I would have noise. Expected in that circumstance
