Hey folks,
I’m trying to start /stop ableton via DT over USB but it seems Ableton won’t receive transport message from DT.
DT is in OB mode
Ableton remote midi input is switched on
DT transport send is on
Everything else due to midi works without probs.
Am I missing sth?
Turn on sync in ableton midi settings? Maybe remote is needed for transport. Not sure about that
Indeed! Ok, I think I misinterpreted that. Transport is not plain midi cc. But that won’t work for me.
I am also interested in getting this to work. I use DT as a soundcard, use midi track 9 to control Simpler, but don’t know how to get Ableton to play from the DT.
In this case it should be easy. Go to Ableton midi settings - > turn on sync for DT input. The “EXT” Button appears on ableton’s top left corner. Switch it on.
