The first Isotonik sound pack is a bit of a weird one, as it seems to be the exact same stuff that Move had as presets to begin with. On the other hand, the Soundghost pack is really nice.

Yeah I wasn’t moved (see what I did there?) by the demo of the isotonik one. I’m digging the Sinee pack a lot although it’s more up my alley genre-wise.
What’s this? Could you point me to the right direction?

Really wish you could hold a step and play a chord on midi controller and it was entered on that step like how elektron gear does.
I find that a bit frustrating, you can only live record basically

Would be better if worked on midi keyboard too easier to play on proper keyboard.
When playing notes on midi keyboard they don’t stay lit up like when press pads which should be the same

I just tried Move with an external keyboard for the first time and capture works great but the step sequencer doesn’t seem to work at all does it? Gives really inconsistent results.
Regarding this topic there are already two or more requests inside the big Discord wishlist mess.

They admitted the midi function is basic. hopefully they add this when gets updated

Ok, thanks for that information. I assumed Ableton has a neater way of keeping track of feature requests internally.
I am hopeful they will improve the MIDI side of Move. They have to know that it’s possible a lot of people will buy it just to have a great compact hardware sequencer with great MIDI implementation. But, then again, it may be out of scope for the device. Time will tell.

One thing I’ve noticed is that if I mess around in Live and make some little sketch that ends up being terrible I’ll save it and it will stay on my hard drive forever. I don’t have the discipline to go through and delete things that aren’t worth saving. But with Move and the limited number of sets, I’m being a lot better about clearing out the bad stuff.

Good catch. Can’t imagine that would be useful to anyone. Might be worth shooting them a message. If they aren’t shipping until late January, maybe there’s still time to tweak the design before it goes into production.

I’ve never used one of those before or looked at their site, but it looks like they always leave all of the jacks and power buttons exposed. Presumably so you can leave everything hooked up while the cover is on?
