I converted some Logic EXS auto sampled instruments and trying to convert them using Convert with Moss to sfz. I’ve got them loaded onto my Move but I’m getting an error that says “instrument loaded but has 0 regions (no samples mapped)” Is there something better to convert files to sfz with for this project, I’ve always had good luck with Convert with Moss.
Very possibly a problem with my sfz implementation. Can you join the discord and we can see if we can work it out?
Sure thing, forgot about that. I joined the other day. Thanks
Awesome!
Also for what it’s worth, to avoid confusion and keep things clean with another project, this has been renamed Schwung (Momentum in German). Keep moving!
Nice addition to my german vocabulary list ![]()
Apologies if this has been asked above somewhere (haven’t had time to read through the whole thread), but does this firmware add the ability to use probability for trigs? That is one of my biggest requests in my short time with the Move so far.
There is at least a granular synth, quantized resampling, superarp and chord mode midi fx modules! The current limitation only lets midi fx target Schwung synths, but hopefully that can change in the future.
As for probability, right now we rely a lot on the move sequencer, and don’t recreate clips, timeline, etc. it’s possible you could do something like modify every Nth note or every Y bars but it still wouldn’t be clip aware.
Someone could write their own sequencer to do whatever (and there are a few already) but it’s a lot of squeeze for the amount of juice. To me, at least!
Totally understand and want to express a lot of gratitude and appreciation for how much work you’ve already put into this, @charlesv. It really shows and its incredibly excited how much more you’ve added to the Move with Shwung. Thank you kindly!
@charlesv Thanks for all your work on this. This is project is the sole reason I’ve just purchased a Move. And I can’t wait to give it a try. An amazing contribution to the community!
I’ve just released a bit crusher fx module covering 14 different bit reduction types.
Updated the Akai S950 inspired filter fx module with control over sample rate instead of bits to maintain the authenticity of the 12-bit ADC. Cutoff range has also been improved for less scrolling.
Not all modules are in the module store but the latest installer (v0.3.2) supports easily installing third party modules from a tar.gz or a github repo directly.
Can it also uninstall them?
For built in modules, yes. For custom modules, not from the installer currently but there is a built in file browser (with web access) if you want to just delete the folder.
Ok thanks
Just got my Move mainly to try out Schwung. It’s great so far. I’ve noticed that Schwung seems to take over the Shift+Capture combo which normally clears the capture buffer. Is that right? Is there any work around I should know for being able to clear the buffer with Schwung installed?
Press on a track button to empty the buffer! ![]()
There’s also a setting to disable this in Schwung settings
Skill for Claude (or any other agentic workflow) to create modules for Schwung with the intention to reduce token usage.
