Ableton Move [Archived]

Any rumors on whether Move 2 will have MPE pads?

Curious to know how will be represented the parameters to tweak within the encoders on that small display. I mean, RYTM and A4 mk1 had not that much big display, but they were 1:1 within the encoders position and the display UI.
Thinking about sound design immediacy…
About the 4 vs 8 tracks, of course it will be 8 vertical with 4 scenes per time to scroll with the arrow buttons, otherwise it will be contrary to the Live session view paradigm…

blinky lights always trigger my GAS.

it appears to have audio in? is it too much to speculate there is a mixer for external audio & maaaaaaaaaybe a stripped back iteration of Simpler? :eyes::eyes:

Elektron you better get on that chop/slice machine because Ableton is coming for y’all.

I want an aluminum version

In the UK they call it Doner and it’s disgusting. Looks and tastes like actual cardboard. :joy::joy::joy::joy:!

What I’m saying is you can’t plug this into a synth that only has MIDI inputs and use it to control that. You’ll need either a computer or some other midi interface.

That was the same for me last friday

modified for truth.

at least for elektron products people have the decency to put ā€œspeculationā€ part in the title, this one already full brand name…

I’m in the same boat— i gave up and sold a mint Octatrack mk1 last week because I’ve built up more than ten years of muscle memory with the Push workflow and just don’t have the time to learn something from scratch right now. And while the Push 3 does (almost) everything I want, it’s heavy to pack and almost always gets flagged at airport security.

Unless this costs more than a thousand Canadian dollars or really deviates from the Ableton paradigm, i don’t think I’ll be able to resist.

Told you it had a screen.

Agreed, and Note does allow for some parameter editing, so it can still be fun to tweak and use for performance.

That said, I do hope there is a way to import our own presets from Live, but I suspect that might not be a thing (at least not at launch)

I’m curious when they’ll launch it? 00:00 or 10am Berlin time?
I’m thinking during work hours, in case servers crash or something, someone’s on call.
