jeez guys I don’t even know what to believe anymore.
I do this now via n# Zoom>Copy>New Pad>Paste>Reposition>Copy>New Pad>Paste…etc for however many Pads i want the Sample to span over.
It’s a flow killer.
I recently started using Koala to do all my BPM based Slicing into 16 Slices to save some sanity in this matter.
Same here. I don’t need a preset machine. Hopefully, they will bring full sound design into the box…
Well, at least on Push 3 there’s a whole Piano Roll layout you can use to input notes, that could easily be implemented on Move for note editing polyphonically.
Then there’s the other layout which shows a more step sequencer layout where each step can be be held down and you add and remove notes, so perhaps you’re right and it works that way as well.
Oh cool. 11pm Monday night state side then.
Sure, but that postage stamp screen is an example of one of the corners you don’t cut. I would consider it if it’s more expensive and sports a decent screen. But it doesn’t matter how cheap it is if it’s unpleasant to use, it’s a hard no
A modern sampler should have a reasonable screen for showing and chopping the waveform. Nothing makes me nope out faster on a sampler than lack of a screen or poor waveform display.
No waveform display, just digits for start time and length. It’s a great box, but that’s one of the reasons I sold it.
Nope it does not. You can’t even see the waveform.
You have to do it by ear like the OP-Z and Circuit then.
Thanks.
I don’t think this is Note in a box, but another Ableton Live interpretation. Maybe with some similarities to Note in the same way Note has some similarities to Ableton Live.
I see the breakdown like this:
Note: Sketching an idea. Capture it wherever with the device you always have on you.
Move: Work on the go. Bringing anywhere and build your song. Open your Note or Live song from Cloud.
Push: Finish your song, or perform it live.
That’s an interesting insight. However, Note does have a Fixed Length record function which is separate from capture. This is essential because while capture is amazing for short phrases, it consistently resets too early to record longer and more complex phrases.
In op-z you can use the app to visualise the sample to assist chopping.

more info evidently, idk why this one has different icons than the other leak though…
I’m just going by the 8 theme (8th / Oct) I have no idea if it actually will be then!
That’s wild. No way they actually showed off a mockup (it may not be obvious in the thumbnail, but that’s a vector sketch) in a survey two years ago?!
It would totally make sense if the icons were slightly different given another two years of development.
That said, if anything we’ve seen today has been fake, this would have been the easiest to do. The original hardware leak obviously (at least from my designer perspective) has far too much evidence of design thinking and iteration to be a fan mockup, but this purported survey screenshot could have been quickly put together in the past few hours.
I see, crazy that they stuck with the same design as the mockup for 2 years other than some icons. But that pretty much confirms that the leak is real, or (hopefully) a prototype…
This thing looks foul, but I’m sure in the right hands it can rock. Elektron doesn’t get enough credit for making solid mechanical switches for all of their buttons. One of the reasons I dread ever switching to another company’s gear; Elektron devices just feel great.
