Seems like that’s the case from what I understand
hard to tell from the description. might not be chopping. but i bet there is basic truncating?
Just finished reading Sweetwater’s descriptions. I think my SSL UF-1 just died. A combo portable groove box and controller for Live! Buying!
Looks pretty good. Pity it doesn’t have midi i/o. Maybe it will be able to connect to digitakt via usb for midi clock though
I’ll forgive the four tracks at that price.
I wasn’t expecting it to come under $500.
Yeah seems like we can do either 16 Pads with individual samples, or 16 Pads in Pitch mode for 1 selected Sample. I just need to see that working. I do this on the MPC a lot.
Should be here Wednesday so we’ll see how it feels and flows.
I think I read somewhere that midi over usb should work.
I think it’s 100% like this, otherwise you won’t be able to do anything rhythmic with it, let alone build a complete track.
I think there might be a OP-Z/Seqtrak style phone app.
An intentionally limited structure was purposefully and carefully refined to maximize your musical possibilities
lol, lmao even
Probably a few different ways:
In one setup I would likely use 1-3 for drums, bass and poly synth. Then track 4 for recording external instrument (assuming that’s possible).
Could also imagine a more drum rack focused setup. A sort of live remixing workflow with maybe 3 drum racks and one synth
Yeah, i wonder how it handles a sampling track.
is it like an audio track? can you cut and paste? punch in?
or a row of separate clips of audio, like in session view

I bought one, if anything this thing should be awesome as a compact Ableton midi controller. The dimensions finally mean I can have an Ableton controller on my desk without having to move a ton of shit. It will fit easily above/below my computer keyboard.
Not for me, but I hope the folks that get it like it
Can’t wait to see the vids of this. I hope it breaks our brains with some of the workflows they created on it.
This thing is awesome. Damn. 4 tracks hurts but I love it still. Probably buying this thing.
4 Tracks x 16 Pads per Track = 64 Sounds
Yeah I bought it. I think it will sell out fast. I’ve asked for a mini push for years. The fact that it’s also a mobile device just rules.
