Hey folks was wondering if anyone was having an issue trying to send Midi clock to Digitakt 1 through usb. Can’t seem to get it to work. Thanks in advance.
Check that move’s midi is set to out, not in.
Yeah it’s definitely set to out.
Are you getting MIDI notes but no clock? If all your I/O settings are correct on both devices and the Move isn’t sending any MIDI at all it might be the cable.
Some USB cables don’t transfer data, only power.
I was trying to control my S-1 from the Move and couldn’t get it to work at all. I swapped out the cable and realized I was using a power-only USB cable. After that everything worked perfectly.
Neither digitakt nor ableton move is a usb host device, class compliant devices still require a host to interface.
I got it working. Forgot to change the USB configuration on the Digitakt from overbridge to usb midi.
Thanks everyone for your responses
Move is a MIDI host device. So it is possible to connect the DT to Move‘s USB A port.
Glad you worked it out and thx for sharing.
Just out of curiosity since I have a DT1 but not a Move, I was wondering who the Master and who the Slave would be for MIDI Clock in such a setup.
Or does it actually matter? Could both be either Master or Slave?
Cheers
