Ableton & Analog Heat – glitches

the buffer size of Ableton must be below 256 otherwise it will not work

I use the elektron hub with analog four, keys, rytm, heat, and some usb cables for midi in the hub,

A! Ok my friend i will try 256 ableton buffer, and the same with the overbridge or below buffer?

the usb cable of AH must be also directly inside the PC/MAC
and not connected on a HUB

  • Ableton setting 256 buffer size is maximum, below would be better

1: hub directly to usb port (ok)
2: ableton buffer 256 below
3: overbridge buffer 256 or below.
Ok i will try!!!

yes… this works for me
before i had problems… because of the HUB

Elektron hub or other?

other… but a good one and it has extra energy…
but soundcards needs normally ever connected directly to the computer
and AH is a soundcard

Heat it is not the same like analog four, keys, rytm?
Heat is more like a soundcard?

i don’t know… i just know that it will not work with a USB Hub

for me this works:

1: no usb hub!!! – AH directly to usb port of computer connected
2: ableton buffer 256 or below
3: overbridge buffer 256 or below (must be the same like Ableton)

Ok usb direct to usb port, 256 buffer ableton and overbridge, now everytime i open the ableton i have a message at overbridge (plug replug your usb cable for the analog heat) when i do this aftet is ok,

sorry… the problems are back.
glitching… if i open a ableton set everything works great for hours.
but when i put the overbridge plugin to a other track instead of the one which
it was when i opened the project, the glitches come back straight.

I get glitches all the time, out of nowhere it will start getting cracking/glitching/over distorted and often falls out of sync. Sometimes when I open the project the plugin doesn’t recognize that the heat is connected, the only way I can get it to work is to turn it on and off, sometime it takes multiple attempts to fix it. It’s really frustrating.
I saw Cenk say at the Digitakt announcement that there were a few bugs on mac overbridge they were working on but, for me anyway, heat is basically unusable in overbridge mode :frowning:

Try buffer size 256 or 128 and direct USB not a hub!
