A4, program change, guitar processor

So I have been experimenting a bit with using A4 as a guitar processor, and its proven to be quite fun.

Has anyone any experience with sending program changes to A4 when the sequencer is not running? Especially in terms of noises/glitches, audiable artifacts. Is it instant? The idea is to connect up a simple program change foot controller.

I will try to emulate this by changing patterns with the trig keys, but not sure if this is “exactly” the same as a program change…

So I tested this out a bit… bit disappointing - turns out, pattern change does not reload kit when two different kits are assigned to the patterns, thus it is showing a different kit, but FX params affecting the inbound signal is unchanged (until I slightly nudge the FX setting, in which it skips to the correct KIT value).

Furthermore, I selected the “reload KIT on PGM CHNG” and it still does not reload the kit properly.

When I run the sequencer, KIT reloads once there is a trig on the sequence…

Note: this was tested using pattern change with the trig keys, not a MIDI PG change message.
