Here is the recording from the night. You can stream the whole show from their website http://www.pbsfm.org.au/node/30310

and this was the set up:

Using the X-Session for the OT 8 channel levels, plus another 8 random controls across the tracks.

Enjoy :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Cool stuff dude!

thanks for listening and responding! i was a bit worried that this was too far outside the range of taste for the electronauts :alien:

cool !

I used to get material played on 3PBS Dreaming Electric Show many moons ago and worked on one of their radio shows for a little over a year - what seems like an eternity ago ( over 10 years at least ).

Very much enjoyed this I must say - reminds of material R. Hancock used to do years back on self made instruments recorded in old storage tunnels, abandoned buildings and car parks for epic reverb.

Is this based around custom field recordings of your own also ?
Quite evocative and grating in parts (in a great way I must confess).
Sounds excellent.

Thanks \m/ Grating in a good way is where I was going hehe
PBS is soooo good! So supportive of whoever and whatever whoever wants to put out there!
Samples are some meditation bowls I’ve sampled and made sample chains from, my modular samples, and some resampled layered drums.
The A4 has two pairs of slightly shifted drones going on. One of the things I found quickly with the A4 when making dense sounds or drones was it got too muddy too quick, so I often make a sound and copy it to another track and change a few things- LFO speeds, efx depths, osc type etc, so it gives a similar but different layer. Gives a bit more separation than just using the neighbour input.

It works very well as a drone piece - compelling listening.
This sort of sonic work is hard to pull off with interest and flair IMHO so kudos to you as there is a lot to enjoy in this performance.
I’m going to have to check out some more of your music.
