A4 mk1 psu-3b?

Hello fellow Elektronauts,

The Elektron website indicates that the psu-3b is compatible with the A4 mk1 but I want to double check (typos can happen after all). Only ask because the 3b differs from the original A4 psu but as I have an extra one I would like to use it for my A4 when moving the A4 from my desk.

Does anyone have experience with this? I realize I am being overly cautious. Thanks in advance…

A4 (mk1 or 2) needs 12V / 2A, so any PSU with such specification and the right plug is ok.

PSU-3b offers such characteristics and is, indeed, compatible with A4 mark 1.

FYI - the Mk1 came with a 2.5A psu

PSU-3 dying, audio noise?

Hi there, just noticed a horrible frying noise on the audio from my A4 mk1. I noticed the PSU-3 was very hot. Removed it and put on my Digitakt PSU-3b and all is good. But will the 3b cause a problem? Under powered 2A vs 2.5A. Can I use any PSU with right tip and rated 12V 2.5A? Need something quick for overseas trip vs waiting 2-3 weeks for Australia delivery!
