When I got my A4, I backed up all the factory sounds and built my own 128 sounds. Now that the +Drive is enabled, I wondered if there is any way of putting those factory sounds back on my +Drive? Also… if I were to buy Darenager’s Drum Sounds, could I stick them on the +Drive? Would they be tagged as percussion sounds automatically?
I think with the +Drive it would be very neat to have some sort of Sound manager Application to manage all those sounds.
Another question is this: When I enter notes and plock sounds to them I can only choose sounds from the pool but not the +Drive. Is there a way to browse the +Drive when holding down a trig to assign a sound?
How do I select which category of sounds to browse on the +Drive… Is there a way to let me only browse in the Perc section when building drum parts for example?
I saw your post and I have at least some answers for you.
You can put your sounds back in the A4 using the C6 application it’s not very hard to do. (If you need more explanation I can give you some)
In the +Drive there is a way to manage your sounds.
It’s the “Sound Manager”. Press “Function” + “Sound” (D key) and select “Sound Manager”.
There are a lot of options in there. The sequencer trigs for example become banks of sounds. “Trig 1” becomes “Sound Bank a”, Trig 2" becomes “Sound Bank b”, and so on…
You could copy your 128 factory sounds to “Sound Bank D” for instance.
You can also apply tags to your sounds to make them easier to find in the “Sound Manager”.
While in the “Sound Manager” or even in the “Sound Browser”, use the LEFT and RIGHT arrows to access all these options.
In the “Sound Manager” you can select and copy your +Drive sounds to the Sound Pool, as the “Sound Pool” is the only that can be accessed when using “plocks”.
