Cheers Guys,
yesterday i got one of these CV Split Adapters from Elektron and connected it to my Modular.
Using CV A for pitch and CV for gate. but recording into the sequener or using the arp from the A4
i found some random steps missing all the time. So if i hit 2 keys on the A4s keyboard when using the arp its leaving out some steps randomly. but not always on the same step or part of the arp seq. I have it connected via Overbridge to ableton. in Overbridge im Using “Clock” . Sound goes through Left Channel on Track 4. All env are fully open. Cant find any solution to that. thx
Keep it simple then
What do you think is bust ? What needs a solution
Are you testing the cable, the A4 os, overbridge, your modular, etc
You do realise that some gear only uses limited control voltage, maybe your ARP is getting too high and the modular can’t keep up
Narrow things down
nah. im playing the arp on c3 and c#3 with range set to 1. the a4 os is the lastest also the overbridge.
cable is like i wrote a new elektron cv splitter with included cable.
its also happening if i just put 16 trigs in the a4 seq. lets say all c3.
modular is just 1 osc and env +vca
so, simplest … rule things out
A4 straight to Modular (set source on both channels to CV track)
clear a pattern (i.e rule out p-locks or TRCs)
try again (check CV track ends lfos too)
do you still get issues
have you got gate and pitch mixed
try different snappy env settings on the external gear
have you other CV controllers or external synth to swap
and so on … to get to the bottom of where the issue lies
got it. the arp note length was longer than 1. thanks for helping avantronica
