when starting the Overbridge VSTs there is a disclaimer that states:
- do not sequence or sync the device directly with extrenal MIDI
- do not take audio directly from your audio interface to your DAW
and I wonder: why?
I love the plugins for their easy access to parameters, presets, and the possibility for automation without having to look up CC or NRPN numbers.
But I don’t really want a lot of audio traffic going on over USB and the additional latency hassle that comes with it. Also I want to have multiple tracks in my DAW, one for each instrument, and not pack everything in one track.
I know I can solve this with a bit of extra MIDI routing and just ignoring the USB audio, I’m just curious WHY Overbridge tells me I shouldn’t use it the way I wanted to.
Someone has an idea?
