Currently I’m using a combination of a midi merger and a 1-in 5-out midi thru box to route midi from my OT (as master) and a Axiom49 (as controller) to a MD, Rytm, Mnm, A4, and MB-6582.
However, I’d also like to have the option of controlling the OT with the keyboard too.
Would it affect my current setup if I were to split the midi from the Axiom and route it into the OT’s midi in while still sending both it and the OT’s midi to the other devices?
It’s kind of confusing to explain so I made some helpful diagrams
From what I can see rather than using the splitter box couldn’t you plug your keyboard midi out into OT midi in then send this signal from OT midi thru port to the merger box, along with running a midi cable from the OT midi out?
Thru from OT will pass keyboard midi through to the merger box
Doing this should save having to use the midi splitter box
